A Good Session
As I have said on another Forum...
I don't and never have played the guitar to entertain....Rather to achieve a bit of inner peace and expand my musical horizons. Today I spent a couple of hours with my SCGC Otis taylor and the SC OM "The Tree". I tried to remember what Eric Skye teaches about "Being In The Groove". I made myself Happy..... And I think the Lake and The thunderheads and the Everglades enjoyed the session also. And That's why I own guitars

We are twin llamas from different mamas (ripoff from Dan Fogelberg/Tim Weisberg album of same name).
But I do like to play for my wife when she tolerates me! Nice thread idea!

Similar for me. Although I still gig occasionally as a soloist or in a band, I've always said I'd rather play with people than play for people. And I still get a lot of enjoyment just playing alone. Its not an either/or exclusive decision for me.

I primarily gig and I really love connecting with an audience, but I can certainly appreciate the feeling of getting in the zone and jamming to myself. It's definitely Zen type of experience.

Could not agree more. I've never played out (although the itch has been there) so my reward is the same as yours.
Those days when it all seems to come together just right are almost hard to describe. Those are a couple of special guitars to find your groove with!
