Default "Reflections" original on a Baranik JX

Warm and heartfelt thanks to AZSlacker for reaching out about this guitar several weeks ago. I had made a post in the classifieds section looking for a modern, wide-spec’d guitar and this gem he offered me has delivered in spades. Really clear, enjoyable tone to it. The woods are Carpathian spruce and Indian rosewood, really sings.

This is a brand new tune in standard tuning, not perfect because the tuning part at 2:08-2:30 always gets me and for once I was happy with it thanks for listening!

You are an incredible talent! Love the tune. How in the heck do you turn those gears to the correct spot. Are they like the banjo tuners that have stops on them? Amazing work Dustin. The Guitar sounds great! (in the right hands of course)
Well done!

Thanks for listening! They are just Gotoh 510 tuners, this tune took me quite awhile to get a good take of...idk if I will ever pursue playing it live because the tuning thing is risky when you don’t use a banjo tuner like Jon gomm or Alex Misko. It’s odd because it takes more effort to tune UP than down so you have to turn the key a tad less when you tune back down! I overshot the motion several times and it began to get frustrating hearing that flat B string a few times in a row This take was half luck, half patience. Worth the end result, IMO

Certainly is a lovely tone, and that's some inventive composition. There's a chord in there that grabs me, has it got some sort of augmented interval?

Thanks for listening! There's a few in there with some added dissonance...the first chord is an Emaj7add9 and the last is some sort of augmented version of that same chord. I couldn't tell you the names of half the chords in this tune, only that I love how they sound.

That was nice.

Interesting tuning change. I've never seen that done before.

Hey buddy, you might enjoy this one...based on how you play and the act that it's the original inspiration for this tune! Trevor was the original master at mid-song tuning, in a really tasteful way.

Thanks Dustin. I'd probably poke my eye out trying that , but it sounds nice.
