Hey @Bluesking777,

Very impressive!

I know I've harped on through private message about how I just can't get my head around barn door electronics. I'm trying to get past that though as I keep hearing great things about this company and their AP5 pro pickup system.

There is a EBG808 Nashville and a EBG808TE for sale in the UK not all that far away from me.

My short arms prefer a short scale though there's the rub.

Only one way to find out really, Jonte!

I have no barrel in the race though, just an owner/fan.

Couple of iPhotos of my Messiah 808:

And dressed up with gold Shubb!:

That does look very nice indeed.

You're right of course, the only way to find out is to try one out.

I can feel a road trip coming on

looks great!
I know those video's; browsing and dreaming I often played and replayed these and many other video's, searching for love amongst so many reviews of high end guitars.

Got my Messiah last week, a lefty 808 with a cutaway.
it was ont top of my want list and expectations were met
My Fender hellcat will feel neglected :/

I'm no big guy either (172cm) and I love playing my 24" custom Jag copy but playing the Maton takes no effort.

Also, this is a good time to introduce myself.
This is my first post since registering here in 2012, lurking now and then
I'm more of an electric player with both a solo gig and a heavy metal band.
I'm also part of the JustinGuitar team almost since the beginning, doing some front of and behind of the scenes work, including forum administration on the JG Community so some people might recognize me from that place

Welcome to the small band of Maton 808’ers, LievenDV

As they say here on AGF, photos needed or it didn’t happen.......

Oh great, another one to put on my list . That does look and sound nice.

I wonder why they picked such an odd nut size, neither an integer number of mm nor bits of an inch.

Welcome to the forum!
Good question!

There is not a lot of info on anything Maton on this forum, but if anyone knows why they picked the neck and nut and pickup and woods, let us know!

My guess for the 808 models is that they made their own version of a 50s Gibson LG2 sort of thing but with a deep body - you know, a classical size body but steel string....
