Default Martin 000-16E or other?

Anyone have experience with this guitar? What’s the general thought on this line? Looking for a less expensive option to the Martin 000-28/EC. Other options? I have the OMCPA4 which I like but I do like the slightly shorter scale of the 000s etc.

000 28 is quite a bit cheaper than the EC. I see you can no longer get a 21, only in OM. Then the18 is mahogany. Save a bit longer for the 28? I love mine.

Not the same as listening in person. Sounds OK.

I own a 000-16e. Love it.

I got mine around the first week of December last year.
When I first got it she sounded a bit raw.
I was not sure that I would keep it. I played it a lot anyways.
About a month or so ago the sound rally started to change.

It is sounding really nice now and seems to get better daily.

Only thing I've done is lower the saddle a bit.
Plays like a dream.

I also have a 000-16E. Granadillo does not sound the same as rosewood, although it does sound good. If you're really looking for rosewood, though, I would save for a used or new 000-28.

Quality and playability are not issues, though. Very nice guitar.

I also recently took a shot at the 000-16E granadillo as I had been wanted to try that tonewood for a while (Taylor did some nice ltds a few years ago that drew my attention but could never score a good used one)

Its a nice guitar for the value. No bling, but sounds great in my opinion. Rings like a bell (strong overtones), mine has tremendous sustain and decent power across the tonal spectrum. Def not as much bass as a good rosewood. Build quality is good, decent grade/look woods, had to lower action upon delivery (def not set up as nicely set up as taylors come thru from the factory).

Solid investment and strong performing guitar in my eyes.

Hi,

Got one a couple days ago.

I immediately put a new set of strings and liquid metal pins on it and am very happy with sound.

I am wondering if this is Martin's first Granadillo guitar ?

Thx.

I got one 2 months ago and have been happy with it. I'm no expert but this was the first time I heard about a granadillo Martin.
