Your appreciation and love of beautiful wood is easy to see in each build you have shared here.

Spectacular and understated at the same time. Let the woods do the singing!

Such an exquisite looking instrument! Gorgeous woods and flawless execution.

And regards to WILS, it is my recollection you were deep in conversation when I past your booth and I did not swing back. My loss!

Smile

The Lutz top is really nice, the streaking is pronounced but subtle and even. The medullary rays are very strong and they blend well across the centre seam. A very beautiful top.

I also like the sap wood that is showing. The strip on the neck blends very well with the others on the sides, back, and bridge. Even the colour of the neck matches very well with the sap wood. In particular, the blend at the headplate and fretboard is well thought out with the matching headplates front and back a nice added touch. Your sense of balance/symmetry is very appealing for me on this build.

You also use a raised fretboard fairly often from what I can see on your website, is this a favourite way that you like to build, or are these customer requests?

Absolutely stunning! Will you be able to provide a sound clip from this guitar? What do you believe are the sound characteristics of this wood?

That is an interesting (in a very good way) aesthetic design, love how the coloring works throughout the guitar. I also admire how you are humble in the midst of your obvious talent. This is a stunning guitar. If you have an opportunity to post some sound samples, that would be fantastic. Thank you for documenting this build.

Thank you very much.
Are you talking about the fingerboard? If so, it's as durable as hard kind of rosewood. The density and the hardness of this particular Granadillo is about the same as Madagascar rosewood. The fingerboard is laminated with Macassar ebony and this guitar has a raised fingerboard(much more mahogany where fingerboard is the weakest). Structurally no problem. Conversely, I laminated the fingerboard and did a raised neck to make this crazy figured fingerboard structurally ok.
