I'm also in the camp of liking the originals over the double stuff.

I used to get Hydrox at Krogers. It was years ago. I don't know if they still sell them or not.

I've been ordering Hydrox from Amazon. My wife insisted they were better than Oreos, so I ordered some and taste tested and she was right. I happen to have some coming today.

I can't believe we've gotten almost 20 posts in and nobody has started an argumentxxxxxx discussion about the proper way to eat an Oreo. So I will!

Of course, everyone knows that the only correct way is to unscrew it and separate the halves, eat the filling first, then stick the cookies back together to eat. Of course.

The proper way to eat them is whole. I like the chocolate wafer parts better than the filling.

I agree, they gotta be dunked. I had a friend that was so fat his nickname was faticus. He had serious problems and decided to have that rubber band thing done to limit his intake. He used to keep what we called an industrial sized box of double stuffs in his desk and eat the whole box in one day...... everyday. So he has the surgery and wasnt losing any weight. Come to find out he figured out that if he filled a glass with the cookies and milk he could mix it up and swallow it like a malted, slid right by that pesky rubber band with no problem.

Unrelated fact: Oreos are accidentally vegan. I don't think they set out to make them that way, just how the formula has ended up.

I bet a series of ads featuring a cute cartoon animal would boost consciousness (and sales). Like maybe, oh I dunno, "Hyram the Hydrox Hyrax" . . .

The Newman's Own version are also quite tasty, and presumably slightly better for you than the original, being made from mostly organic materials.

There is no better mass produced US cookie. I know. I’ve tried them all.
Milk and cookies can solve all the world's problems for 5 minutes.

DoubleStuff is a bit too much stuff for me...I've actually enjoyed the Oreo Thins that are on the market now...the mint ones are particularly tasty.

Dangit, now I want Oreos. And I've been so GOOD lately!
