I assumed it was to keep the pick up under the saddle. But we know what happens when we assume, so I figured I would ask. Thanks for taking the time to edjumacate me

Just wanted to give an update. I ended up sending the pickup back to Schatten. I appreciate all the advice and pointers and all very helpful.

At the end of the day I just felt like if I’m having to modify something like that to make it work, it’s just not meant to be.

For the type of stuff I do, clip on mics and stage mics work pretty well, but I was just wanting to experiment with something different.
