Default NGD!! How a new Furch found its way home

I had just decided that I was going to stop any guitar purchases until 2020. Then the most cruel of things happened . . . . my company gave me a $500.00 award for being with them for 15 years. After looking at the "prize list", I decided I would see if I could use it for a new, and entirely unneeded guitar. I work for a relatively small company and they all know I'm a guitar nut, so I got the OK.

I had been cruising Reverb looking at cedar/rosewood Furch's for several months, so I went back and saw a new posting on a G22CR-C from the Fretted Buffalo which had a recent price drop. On top of that, it had one of the nicest IR backs I've seen in some time. I made the decision in minutes with virtually no guilt. Bill at the Fretted Buffalo emailed me in short order and was great in getting it out quickly and assured me it was a fantastic guitar.

And is it . . . . the lush, warm tones are just amazing. I've been lucky to come across some great guitars at excellent prices, but this one is assuredly the best. The setup is spot on (which is just lucky, but it adds to the feeling of quality), the finish is perfect without any flashy excess, and again, the tone is stellar. In all the guitars I've purchased, I've never had one "feel" this right. Gotta stop typing and play some more

Well done, Ed! And I’m glad to hear that companies reward folks for loyalty! You earned it.

Congrats on the lovely Furch! Beautiful rosewood on yours - Furch seem to be good at picking nice sets for their guitars. Enjoy!

My next guitar will be a Furch too!
Fantastic instruments. The 22 series is probably the best value in their lineup. No frills, yet you get an all gloss body with good woods, and of course, a great sound.

Congrats!

Congrats on a fine guitar!

I had a G23 in cedar and cocobolo. It was a sweet one.

Unless old- new sock (or used) the 22 is now the Green series. Still the same great guitar with a little variance on the visual appearance.
