Default basic stuff you've neglected for the last year

I cleaned and conditioned 4 pairs of boots today. I'm normally an every 2 to 3 month kind of guy. My hands smell like pine pitch. And I've missed that smell!

Anything basic and mundane you've let slip, for no real reason, through 2020?

Oh man, I've got a "honey do" list that must be 20 feet long! Just maintaining has been a struggle...but I'm trying.

I’ve only had one haircut in the last year. I also only seem to have one gray hair on top of my head. The beard OTOH...

If I could just keep up with the emergent and ongoing workload - shoveling snow, replacing dead batteries, HVAC blend door actuators and broken lights/lenses on cars, replacing failed power and Ethernet cables, laundry, shopping, cooking, cleaning, working a full time job at the power plant.....

Then I might find time for the "gotta-getta-round-tuit-someday" projects.....

No haircut since the shutdown, and I was due for one then.

Had a new boiler installed in October. All through winter we've survived with only three radiators working!

Can't get plumber back until govt allows me to "unshield"
Cat is in love with a 1kw fan heater!

There's a leak from the shower, due to be fixed before lockdown-same plumber!

My lap top is getting slower and slower and wifi keeps dropping out. My IT man is closed for the duration.

The conservatory gutters are blocked as the gutter ma has covid!

I've spent four hours sorting out old financial paperwork.

Far too much to shred, and can't take ot to the tip .- confidential.

We have enough notepaper for the next hundred years.

Click and collect for today failed due to incorrect credit card submission - its a direct debit!

My feet are cold!

Contacted promoters about renewing last year's cancelled bookings - no-one is confident that they'll re-open.

Got an email from the place where I usually buy jeans and shirts and stuff. Found some stuff I'd like to have ... what is the point -looks like I'm not about to go anywhere!

Don't get my second shot until 2nd May. Not allowed to consider ourselves safe until three weeks after.

The hinge on the fridge door has just broken.

Oh well!

Oh well indeed.

Oh well you've given us the lyrics, all we need now is the music and video.

I fear my list of 'things to do' would require a symphony.

I couldn't neglect anything... Been too busy fixing all the stuff that decided to break in the past year. Dishwasher motor gave up, dryer pulley seized, washing machine computer quit, bearing froze up in garage door opener and I had to get a new stove. Come spring my boat trailer needs a couple new ramps, my lawn tractor needs a valve job and the car needs a brake job. BUT, I did manage to get a haircut at a new barbershop and now I look "goofy" (says wife) as the young barber really got carried away.... Other than that, we're good.

I've been cutting my own hair for 20 years...oh, the money I've saved! We've attempted to continue living as normal, so no, haven't really neglected anything.

Just the opposite for me, I've never completed so many chores and tasks than I have in the last year.
One of the best purchases I ever made was an electric hair clipper, my wife cuts my hair and I get the exact cut I want.

Let's just say as the 30" or snow I had in my backyard has melted down to about 2 over the past week, I have uncovered evidence we have a dog.

Same here. But more like 30years. Now, I don't "have anything to work with". Sort of just a ball of hair situation. Use the tapered "hair guides" on the sides, 1/4 inch overall, and then clean up the back of the neck. Takes under 10 minutes.

As a kid I was sad about my lack of options. Now I feel like Johnny Cash. He knew he was gonna wear black, and I know exactly what I'm going to look like after a hair cut!

This year is full of contradictions and counter-intuitive situations, such as:

People are furloughed, on work-share, unemployed but household savings are at a record high.

People are spending more time at home but have less stuff done.

People are out of jobs but house pricing is through the roof.

Hobby and exercise equipment is all sold out.

etc.
