Default which pick up

what is the easiest pickup for a player to put in himself thats not undersaddle.

A microphone. After that a soundhole pickup with external cord. After that an external piezo disc and putty. No holes to drill, no glue.

The Baggs Lyric is probably the easiest. The K&K pure mini is not too bad to figure out if you're mechanically inclined.

If you don’t mind it sitting in the soundhole, I’d say a soundhole pickup. They can sound really good and can be removed. I had a k&k in the box but couldn’t bring myself to perform surgery on my guitars.
