Talking 1992 Froggy Bottom H14

SOLD PENDING PAYMENT!
Weekend Special… come steal me at $4600 with buyer paying shipping and any fees!

Had this beauty sold but the buyer had to back out due to Covid so let’s try again!

For your consideration, a true Froggy Treasure! Had the pleasure of owning this twice! Bought it from a professional musician, he needed it back for a recording so when he was finished I bought it back again! I really don’t need to dwell on the specifics and superlatives that accompany Froggy Bottom Guitars…. If you know Acoustics… you know Froggys! This is an incredible
H/OM sized beauty with incredible flamed Koa back and sides and Adirondack Top. It’s just not getting the playing time it deserves so time to pass it along!
Price is $4975 shipped.
Buyer to pay any fees.
Have lots of pics so just email me at [email protected]
Specifics are as follows:
Body Width- 15 inches
Body Length- 19 1/8 inches
Scale Length- 25 1/4 inches
Nut- 1 3/4 inches
Action at the 12th Fret…. Low E 2.25 mm and High E 2 mm

A few thoughts from the prior owner:

This is without doubt the best OM I have ever owned or played. I sold it once before and bought it back. It is dry, woody, loud, with great trebles. It sounds as big as a lot of dreads I have owned. It is koa back and sides with adirondack top. There are a few swirl marks on the back but not able to photograph. The guitar is in excellent plus condition. It is an early froggy evidenced by the date and the larger frog logo. I cannot say enough nice things about this one. Ive owned dozens of frogs including brazilians and this is the best of them all. Ive also owned Borges, Franklin, Circa, Merrill, Tippin and Claxton. This and another froggy are my only two high end guitars remaining. Trying to get down to one stage guitar only. To that end I just bought a Maton 75th anniversary to hit the road with this upcoming year. Nut width is 1.75 and the string spacing 2.25. First to say I do gets it. You could pick up 20 froggy OM guitars and this is the one you would likely choose. A true outlier amongst great guitars.

Been lusting after this one each time it gets posted.

I had a similar vintage H14 in the same wood combo. Definitely among the best I've owned out of a collection that I consider myself blessed to have pass through my household.

I know I'll catch flack for this...but having owned several H14s and H12s, in my mind the 14 is far superior. Good luck finding a FB at this price point nowadays, let alone one this nice.

Best of luck with the sale
