For your first time in DADGAD, extremely good. I wouldn't necessarily say a key change is needed, but some sort of bridge or unexpected twist then bring it back. Just an opinion and totally optional. Very good as it stands.

I use many tunings besides standard yet dadgad seems to be the only 1 that doesn't "click". Perhaps I should learn some pieces by others before I try to write my own.
It is also true that I am quite happy without the dadgad tuning in my arsenal as guitarist and life's sooo short..
.. bridge and unexpected twist.. mmm.. I'll give it a try.
