I'm just giving them a try.

I hope it works reliably in 'all' iOS and Android devices. I have an EON610 that I have not been able to get the EON Connect app to work at all in an Android tablet that has all the required specs. The tablets BT does see the EON610 out there, but the app fails to recognize it. A couple support requests to JBL/Harman were of no help.

I use to use Android and Microsoft, and I always had wireless communication/recognition issues between various devices. The sending unit (phone or computer) always laid fault with the receiving unit. Reluctantly I switched to Apple products and never had the same issues/headaches.

Me too. Not that I'd be getting rid of my S1 Pros though....

You can install the app for your iOS/Android device and run it in demo mode to see how it works. But the answer is that the effects are send effects with individual send knobs from channels 1-3 to each of the 3 effects (reverb, chorus and delay). So the setting of each effect is shared between the channels you use it on.

I tried the app today in demo mode. It appears to have most of the features we folks have been whining about on the interwebs. Hopefully, they included some actual preamps with analog gain.

Release date was the end of October but there is no sign that's available in any store (beside pre-order)

I have asked sales people at Long and McQuad and Cosmo Music about it, neither had a clue as to what I was talking about. They both have a 30 day return policy and I would buy one to try out but looks like we will have to wait.

Release date in Europe at Thomann within the next one-two weeks.

There is a first review at Australian website where they speak of impressive results both with bluetooth and with guitar but still missing the video with actual testing: https://noisegate.com.au/review-jbl-...ble-pa-system/

If the Phantom Power rating is 48-Volts, and given all the other features and potential sound quality as garnered from its specs, I'd definitely consider buying the new JBL EON ONE Compact. I'm assuming that this speaker will soon be readily available at Guitar Centers for auditioning.

Hi Ken,

What happens if the $549 JBL eon one compact is superior or nearly equal to your $1999 Baggs Synapse?

?

Cuki, That could happen but not likely as the LR Baggs Synapse has 500 watts of power which I would assume would give it more clarity at high volume levels? Plus, the 180-degree dispersion of the Synapse would be a positive over the JBL. Fortunately, I only paid $1799 for my Synapse but if the JBL EON ONE Compact is as good as its features suggest it may be, it would kind of hurt to think I could buy three JBL EON ONE Compacts for the price of one Synapse!

Honestly I don't know... All I know is that you are not sending 500w into a 8" speaker.

How does the Synapse compare to your previous QSC K10? In terms of loudness and sound quality?

I think the JBL will not compete, because it has to run on battery power. But it has good chance to be the compromise we all are looking for.

Agreed. Although I spent an hour this afternoon using my Bose S1 in the music room with the Senn wireless system and my new Collings D2HT. I plan on considering the JBL, but it will be hard to top the S1 in terms of simplicity and good sound.
