Question gummy/tacky finger tips on no nails picking hand.

Hi.
This is my first entry. So let me know if i'm breaking protocol in any way

i'm not really a classical player but i utilize some classical technique in my playing and songwriting. Primarily tremolo.

i play with virtually no nails. If any, very short.

Sometimes i get a problem with my fingertips kinda sticking to the strings on my picking hand. The flesh feels weird and tacky.
I've yet to really figure out what causes this.

the only consistent thing i've noticed is that it seems to be worse if i'm using black nylon strings. Daddario's. I've also yet to understand what the difference between black and clear strings is, but thats another thread.

Do anyone have any experience with this? And even better a solution.

Thank you.

Keep the guitar in a case when not playing? I have several 2nd/3rd hand cases that contaminate guitar surfaces with a tackiness, strings too. Have no idea what caused that to the interior upholstery. Have to wipe down the strings and neck before I play.

I'm almost certain that this is something happening with my skin. I'm having the problem right now in spite of having just changed the strings
i have pretty bad circulation and a tendency towards clammy hands, palms, fingers.
i was just hoping that i'm not the only one and that somebody may have come up with something they think helps with this.

One old remedy was to stroke your nose with your fingertips before playing - natural lanolin, if you will.

Multi-instrumentalist genius Rob MacKillop famously plays without nails. He uses a cream, with beeswax in it, he says. I use nose wax if anything, with a bit of nail for brightness. - Stevo

It’s 100% natural and organic. It’s inexpensive and readily available. And it’s made just for you. I wouldn’t try to make a business selling it however.

And yes, a tiny bit gross, maybe.
