Default Is there an online chart or timeline listing technical changes for Taylors?

I've recently sold off some guitars and would like to add a Taylor GC to the lineup; However I prefer their standard scale variant and I'm not sure what years to look for (used). I also have a preference for the CV style bracing. Is there any online source for this technical info?

Could we create one in this thread if one does not exist? Any info regarding changes to Taylor's entire product line is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Some things I would try, nothing earth shattering shocking:
  • Taylor site, specifically search Wood & Steel magazine articles (their house advetorial thing)
  • Unofficial Taylor Forum, where many folks here also frequent, but you may get an answer quicker
  • Obviously a smart google search can turn up a lot stuff with some patience
  • Call Taylor customer support line and tell them what you're looking for -- I have never tried this, but many people rave about the friendly and helpful people who answer that phone

I think a recent Wood & Steel had a timeline of sorts? I don't think it went into specs quite as deeply as you might want: i recall things like introduction of the NT neck, ES and so on.

Consensus seems to be that GCs switched to short scale around 2005-06, CV bracing was introduced around 2009. So it doesn't sound like any standard production model would've had those specs.

The 40th anniversary Wood & Steel had a great summary of the big milestones, you can find it in the Taylor website.
Hope it helps, I like the GA shape myself, but the tone of some of their new GC's is just fantastic, funny enough the short scale models sound better to me.

I didn't think there would be much info provided here. Thanks for the info/tips from those who responded.

Guess I'll drive over to Taylor and just ask them. Maybe I can try out the new Macassar PS guitars too

If I lived close enough to drive to Taylor, I'd prob be making a veritable nuisance of my self to working there ;-)

To be sure, give them a call. They've answered historical questions for me in the past.
