Oh, very cool.

The carved arched back models sound so much better...and this one looks CLEAN.

I’d love to post some photos of my numerous vintage Epiphone archtops, but attaching photos here is beyond me(and I downloaded the AGF app…).

I’ve owned both carved back, and laminated back Epiphones(I’m referring to those from the Golden era, 1931-1951), and the laminated back models have all been excellent, even the budget models, like the Zenith. Other brands with laminated or bent backs(and sometimes solid tops), can be mediocre, but Epiphones are consistently excellent.

I have a 1950 Devon with a laminated back, and it sounds fabulous. It changed my mind about laminations.

I too uploaded the app-still have been unable to post pics- think I’ll become a charter member and see if that helps. And -I too will echo the praises for Original vintage Epiphone’ Archtops. In 50 years of playing I’ve owned a handful of NY EPI’s- I have never played an old vintage Epiphone’ that didn’t disappoint. Them old NY Italian Craftsman Knew how to Carve them tops.
