I tested out a bunch of Rainsongs a yr or so ago.

That was the one I liked.

Did the test again a yr later and the same one came up.

Congrats!

It will be my next guitar (when the budget allows).

For strictly solo performance with zero back-up band.

For playing fingerstyle and in band situation I start here, and adjust based on the role I'm playing.

As Jim suggested minor adjustments will be required at times.
FWIW the Brilliance and the Contour adjustments can be harder to dial in as they seem a bit touchy.
I change the battery monthly.
I was at church today and tried the Rainsong didn't pay any atention to this picture till now. I virtually had the same settings as the first picture. Volume at half, brilliance down all the way mids and treble down. I have found before with this guitar putting the volume at 50% is key, for some reason this preamp can put too much power into the board. My youth minister used my guitar while I was sitting down, I could not tell this was not a wooden guitar. No way did it warrant another pickup. If I was being picky I would use Fishman Aura pedal. But I can guarantee you no one in my congregation would know the difference.

Hey, when you get a chance to snag a nice clean pre owned Rainsong, you need to do it.

I've been convinced that if CF guitars were more aggressively marketed to the smaller markets that we have here in South Carolina, they would sell and start a trend. The average buyer has never even heard of carbon fiber guitars much less played one. I've had several friends tell me my Rainsong has a wonderful sound and they had no idea such a guitar existed.

Yes! I'm so glad the OP posted, because something similar just happened to me. I traded my Stonebridge Dread for a brand new H-WS1000N2, just like this one. The Stonebridge was awesome, but just not my cup of tea. Not a dread fan.

This Rainsong, though... what a beauty! I have a pretty good collection going, with a '57 ES-125 and a late fifties Guild T-100, and a Larivee parlor, among others (I'm not rich, just a teacher. I have consistently saved up and focused money on my hobby). But this Rainsong, with this nice big neck, has completely stolen my heart. My wife is blown away, and she has a good ear. I may even play it for my next solo gig, instead of my ES-125. It's that good.

And with a toddler around, it's even better!

By the way, this is my first post here. Nice to meet everyone.
