I'm with Bluewyatt. Thomastick Infeld. Be prepared though, for they are bright. I ended up removing them because the true nylon sound just wasn't there.! And they're not inexpensive.

Tommy's right, they're more of a crossover string. I put them on my recently acquired Goodall crossover and they're a match made in heaven. The best price I've found so far is at juststrings.com

Thanks for the recommendations.
Would it be correct to say that the Thomastick Infeld strings sound somewhat similar to steel strings, but play and feel like nylon strings? Also, how are they for loudness compared to a more typical nylon set of strings? Last edited by Thumbs-R-Me; 01-08-2011 at 03:07 PM. Reason: Additional info. |

Bottom line? You're gonna have to spring for the $25 bucks to see if they're right for the task. (Hey! It's cheaper than golf club membership!) Otherwise buy Savarez carbons (which are bright too, but dam near as expensive). T_
