What % of time do you strum vs. flatpick vs. fingerstyle?
I probably do 50% fingerstyle (probably because it's the most challenging), 30% strum and 20% flatpick.

I'm about 50/50 I'd say. I tend to tailor my playing style to which guitar I'm playing. The J-45 is my strummer, and my 000-28 is my fingerstyle guitar. Of course, I'm not a typical fingerstyle player and use a pick for my "fingerstyle" playing.
Maybe for me the best gauge is 80% with a pick, and 20% fingers only. |

On acoustic:
Strum = 40% Fingerstyle = 40% Flat Pick = 20% |

My style is jazz and blues, I essentially never strum, I play maybe 60% hybrid pick and three fingers, and 40% thumb only with fingers to pop chords.

I play hybrid about 100% of the time on steel strings.
On nylon, I'd say it's about 90% fingers only, but I do take the pick out on occasion and get my Al DiMeola on. |

At this point in time
Strum = 50% Fingerstyle = 40% Flat Pick = 10% I want to do more flat picking, but haven't gotten into that genre per se.

Hi, I can finger pick but oly with thumb and first finger - I never use 5this when performing.
I have tended to say that I'm a flat-picker and that is where most of my influences come from. However I'm not sure that my picking style is the usual form as I do tend to put in quite a lot of bass runs and melody lines. I was asked for more info on my style some time ago so this following video was my answer, and I'd be happy to hear someone else's definition of it :

It all depends on whether I have a pick in my hand or not?
