Congratulations Stan, so cool you got to do the shop visit and touch and listen to the wood!!! Oh, and hanging out with the boys was probably OK too.

Thanks, Tom - it is great fun hanging out, hearing funny stories about La Connor, picking their brains on various things. Not to mention playing some great guitars! I wanted to play that tiger Myrtle before it got away, and did, but it's bigger than I'm looking for so I didn't spend as much time with it as others. As a research trip it was a success: I know I want a sound port and a Manzer wedge, and we found lots of woods that are going to really make this guitar sparkle, in a quiet way. (Can something sparkle quietly? Maybe glow is a better word.)

Beam surreptitiously? Shine secretively? Glisten clandestinely?
(Stan is an English teacher)

It WAS great having you around, Stan. Thanks for making the trip over.
And this will be a real treat for us.

Gorgeous - you’ll want a nice wide rosette to take full advantage of that lovely wood!
