Very pretty! A question, if I may: it looks like you have veneered/reinforced the cutaway side from the head block to just below the waist? Is that correct? Thanks, Dave

Thanks Dave. Yes I reinforced the cutaway area of the side with maple veneer. We thin the cutaway portion to about 1/16” to make the bending process easier. The veneer beefs up the region to keep any potential cracks from forming.

I think I have some of the Black Limba in my pile somewhere. I haven't tried it yet. Very beautiful wood. Love Wenge too. I hope I can catch up with Steve and Ryan soon. |
