I really like the appearance of the newly restyled ones.

Are they solid or hollow? Again, this will spark a heated debate and I'm not ready to take the plunge but I do like the new aesthetic better.

Nice improvement.

Hey thanks Fazool! This is the 12 string version only, the 6 string is the same. They are actually mostly hollow, due to the slots cut into both sides of the body. We dont have production yet, these are only prototypes. I really appreciate your posting for us. BTW we have the SNAPZ 2.0 coming soon, for 12 and 6 string, a little larger. Ill get a pic up , if i can figure out how to do it .

I must be dumb, how do they work?
Can you show pictures of the pins off the guitar?
Do they suit 12-string guitars with the primary strings closest to the saddle and octaves at the rear like Guild?
And can you use the same pins for guitars with the primary strings at the rear like Taylor?

Just wondered if these Power Pins would fit guitars that have k&k pure mini or lr baggs lyric pickups installed.

Each Power Pin body has two hollow threaded posts that insert into the pin holes. They are positioned so that they will locate in the pin holes, on the majority of 12 strings, without needing to file the hole out a bit. Of course ,filing would be a decision, that that each player would make on a comparative benefit basis . The prototype models that we have right now are the Guild type, in production we will have both models, if there is enough demand us to make the tooling. We have a jumpstart pre order program, that we have been running for several months. We initially want to get 100 pre-orders,we need about 40 more to make it feasible. Heres a link if youd like to take a look. I will post some pics of them unmounted.

Default Good news

They're improving the design & for strings I use Santa Cruz Parabolic Tension 12 string Guitar Strings (basically Balanced Extra Lights) which distinguish themselves from most 12 string Acoustic sets because they've adjusted the tension of each string by fine tuning the core to wrap wire ratio.
