Default New Soundhole Pickup from Mojotone!

Hello AGF and Happy New Year! Finally after 3 years of R&D I've released a soundhole pickup that I believe is a game changer by eliminating the un-natural tones and string balance issues associated with all magnetic soundhole pickups.

I hope you can spare a minute to check it out. Thanks!

You can check our friend David Wilcox demonstrating it here....

Here's a fun video we did with some talented local musicians and their initial reactions to our NC-1 soundhole pickup. All audio was recorded through a Behringer X18 with no post processing or effects on the guitar signal, with the exception of Adam's performance in which he used a Boss looper pedal.

Sounds good! Is a removable cable an option like on the Black Angel? Wouldn’t want to travel with it in a case with cable installed, nor install it at each gig. Thanks

Very nice sounding soundhole pickup. Excellent balance between wound and unwound strings!

We opted for a permanent cable. My view is the more plugs you have, the more points you have for failure down the road. Replacing worn out end pin jacks is easy but replacing the smaller PCB ones on the pickup is not unfortunately.

This pickup literally takes seconds to take in and out in once you've done it a time or two. No loosening strings or having to wrestle with it like so many of the others. You can also permanently install if you don't want to take it in or out each time.

Thank you! That was a big issue I needed to solve with soundhole pickups. Usually the wound strings are muddy and lack volume compared to the unwound strings. The NC-1 is balanced with standard acoustic bronze wrapped strings.

Our very talented friend Eddie Haddad stopped by to give his first impressions on our new NC-1 Soundhole pickup. Check out what he had to say here...

Interesting. How do these PU’s sound on 12 string guitars? I have a Beeedlove classic 12 with a fishman mag/mic PU that is just ok.

Hi Mike, it sounds REALLY good on a 12 string! We tried it on a Guild 12 string and the results were just as good as the 6 string.

I heard the demos and ordered one today. I've had mojotone pickups in some of my electrics before and really liked them. We'll see how it goes, but I'm interested in trying it out.

For a sound hole pick up it sounds really good. Eddie Haddad’s comparison to his stock pick up (I assume it was a UST) really highlights the sound quality of the Mojotone. I think it’s an improvement over most any UST and other sound hole pickups I’ve youtubed. Seems like it would make a good addition for a dual source set up

Without giving up any proprietary information can you explain how the Mojotone does what it does (sound more natural then other sound hole pickups.
