Default Scarborough Fair

This tune was played with my Pellerin SJ CW (cedar over rosewood). I used two Warm Audio mics, a 14 and a 47 Jr.

The strings are 1 month old D'Addario Nickel Bronze balanced tension 12 16 22 30 39 52. At first I wasn't that happy with the strings as they were a little harsh, but they have mellowed a bit.

This is an arrangement by Ulli Bogershausen.

I always love this song.
You played it very well.
The strings have definitely mellowed down.

Beautiful arrangement and perfect timing of notes... that's something I am appreciating more and more about fingerpickers. The really good ones (a camp in which I'd certainly place you) seem to put the notes in as if breaths are taken.

There's a harp-like quality to that guitar, too. Lovely!

Wow, that arrangement certainly does a good job of getting the essence of both the original accompaniment and the melody on one instrument. I love your guitar tone as it is very in keeping with the sound of the original. And well played

Nice job Barry! That's one of the best solo fingerstyle arrangements of that song.

I agree with forest dweller^ great tone in keeping with the original.

Also, sounds like your thumb gets a good workout in one of the sections - makes me think I haven't worked my thumb in ages!
