Hi Aaron, just watched your review - I am not sure what if any significant changes were made to the 60/4, but I have had a 60/3 for years now and it truly is a pro piece of gear. It will cover small to medium venues without any problems. I can supplement it with a K8, or with an S1. Just a great piece of gear.

The one thing you did not like - the small thread in the bottom, can actually be remedied. There is an adapter made by a company I cannot recall the name of, K&? that fits into that smaller thread and fits nicely over a regular speaker stand.
I also made a small square of wood, mounted a speaker pole insert on the bottom, and placed Velcro on the top of the wood platform and some Velcro on the bottom of the 60/3. That works just as well on a speaker stand.

Thanks for the video. I am curious to see if any voicings of the 60/3 were changed in the 60/4. I noticed some of the other features you mentioned that were new.

I believe this is the pole mount adapter for AER amps: https://www.amazon.com/Konig-Meyer-2.../dp/B000WB6NOO

Sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Its interesting how each time they upgrade the AER they seem to make the sound even sweeter. I use to have the compact 2 for a while but eventually upgraded to the compact 3 and I noticed the sound was more dynamic and the reverb improved.
I was in a guitar store the other day and tried the compact 4 on guitar only and sounded wonderful. I have nt yet tried it on vocals. But your demo shows how incredible these amps are.

Thank you for the demo and review, Aaron. Can you describe the sonic differences, if any, between this version 4 and the prior version 3?
Thank you.

I noticed immediately that the TE version was warmer sounding for the guitar and the voice and the company told me they are both voiced the same.

I used to really dislike singing through the version 3.

That looks identical to mine, just a different company. That works!
Mine was a bit more $$ if I recall.

I made a pole mount adapter from a short
peice of pvc pipe a pvc cap and a bolt to fit
the threads of th aer. worked perfect.
cost about 3 bucks. drill a hole in the cap
thread the bolt thru and tighten a nut to secure
the bolt to the cap. Then glue the cap on the
pipe. I spray painted mine flat black.

I had a 60-3 and sold it because of the vocals.
lack of a mid control on the vocal channel seemed to
be the issue to me..But i see that is still missing
on v4. So in your opinion whats the change
for vocal for v4?
is it any better?
It sounded good on your review.

Well done! How does it stack up against the Bose S1?

I feel the S1 is an excellent portable PA. The AER is an excellent acoustic amp and my K8 is an excellent PA speaker. They all have their purposes but all cross over nicely.

Your guitar will sound better on the AER. Your vocal will sound better through the S1. For a combination of vocal and guitar, I would go with the S1.

I agree. For a combination that can do any room I would do a K8.2, unless I needed battery power.
