He's holding up ok this morning or putting on a brave face! It's our first day of school today and I hate that he's having to start school during a rough time. I'm the SRO at his school and he came outside and stood with me all morning during student drop-off and I know that was just a coping method for him. It was weird her not being there this morning. I really appreciate all the kind words from everyone. Losing our fur children can be just as traumatic as losing a human family member and I hate that any of us have to go through the loss of either.

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. It's clear that Sasha was a very lucky poodle to be loved as much as she was.

It's tough for sure.
Cried every time one of my dogs died.

Condolences on the loss. This is never easy, and I feel your pain. I freely admit to having cried more tears at the loss of our four-footed friends than most people that I've known. In our case the animals are cats. Having grown up with dogs all my life, I became highly allergic later in life.

Nooooo!
So sorry!
My little Kiki is my best friend. She's the only one in the house who doesn't put on ear plugs when I play.
Please post a pic of your departed friend.

My condolences. I'm of the general opinion that dogs, and most animals, are better than most humans.

My condolences, I know the pain.............

Palie (Palormar) is my 5th Lab, I have literally had Labs my entire adult life, and he is 13 and "close".

I feel your pain, sadly I'll know it again not too far down the road.

The cure is a puppy.......

In my post above I told how just out of the blue a lady called us gave us a registered 10 month old male Standard Poodle free of charge, due to her circumstances. I don't find that a coincidence and while he won't take the pain away, he's making it a lot easier by seeing that black fur running around the house!
