Isn't it nice though how the standard for "old" goes up commiserate w/our age? When I was 20, 40 looked old...now I'm 61, 70 ain't looking too shabby...

Or, as my first brother (no longer referring to him as "the oldest") once told me, on the occasion of our baby sister's 50th, "We're all old farts now"...

Despite all the technological advances in the intervening decades, there is nuthin, absolutely nuthin that compares with the smooth sound of an old cathedral style radio, or even a record played on a 60's era entertainment system.

While I'm no doubt a geezer, I'm in no way old. Old is a state of mind, not a birth date. (I had to smile recently when a 14-yr. old girl laughed and told me, "You're the youngest old man I've ever met!" She meant it, and I took it, as a very high compliment.)

Yessir uncle Pete....you are ‘Eldest ‘, so far.....
And Cotton is right, to a fine dividing line....looking back at me in my youth, I never dreamed of being in my 70s, times were hard on the common man. My Dad worked hard, I grew up working hard, life got easier getting older but the remembering kept many from enjoying.
Now, I am blessed beyond telling, married for 52 years, 2 children, 4 grands, life eternally secure.....and Acoustic Guitars👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Most dates I don’t even feel old
