Personally I think the "bang for your buck" is very low with the Session pedal. It's effects are barely noticeable and you can probably get the same plus more with other pedals in the same price range. Like the Boss AD10 for example or the Fishman Tonedeq.

Coming back to this thread, I finally got to play out with the Session DI. It was great. The tone was improved, and absolutely no gain issues going into the Schertler.
There was a ratty edge to the tone in a couple songs. I think I know what this was: I noticed when packing in at the end of the evening, that the gain on the DI was all the way up, instead of at about 3 o 'clock where it should have been. There were some kids hanging around (we played a 10th anniversary party), I suspect one of them was curious. So next gig probably even better results.
