Yesterday I put new strings on my CFox Concert and a Telecaster-style electric and played them both for quite a while. Today I only had a chance for a short break, but I pulled out the Goodall. It's amazing.

Usually I'll have almost all of my guitars in different tunings, but lately I have 4 in DADGAD and 1 in standard and 1 in dropped D, but tuned down a step.... So whatever tune I'm learning on, the tuning of the piece would dictate which guitar. Now I just play one for a few days, then another without any rhyme or reason.

Rocky Mountain Guitars, Jeff Bamburg's shop, is located in Salida, CO. I have a doctors appointment there on Wednesday, and will probably wander into RMG afterwards. Jeff is a good guy, I like chatting with him. Plus he builds killer guitars!

Finished playing my Takamine GD93 about an hour ago.

Last night it was the Takamine GJ72CE-12. Tomorrow it will be the Indiana Scout. Wednesday it will be the Indiana Madison or the Lotus LG80 or maybe both.

Then Thursday we start all over with the Takamine GJ72CE-12.

Friday I have a jam and I make take 2 or 3 along.

For the last few days I've played this (57 Country Western)... it might
be my favoritest...

I'm pretty sure I'll be playing my Kopp, which I didn't sell, tomorrow.
I got James at The Fifth String in Greenville SC to lower the action
on it a little, it was 4/32's at the 12th fret. Looking forward to it...

Very nice!! Please send my regards to Jeff. This guitar is the one his friend Bud had and it was in Jeff's shop for new pins, saddle, nut at the time I purchased it via Bud, but worked with Jeff directly and it was sent to me directly from his shop. This is #40 around '13-14, Carpathian/Macassar Ebony. Amazingly resonant and Jeff's favorite wood combo. Jeff was kind enough to warrantee the guitar as a part of the sale.
Regards,
Fred

Been meaning to change the strings on my Martin D-35. Today’s a good day for it. Then we will do some playing.

I have two acoustics and two electrics. With the electrics, it's almost always the strat I reach for - the SG with P90s is just for those moments when I GOTTA hear P90s, doesn't happen often, but when it does, nothing else will do...

With acoustics, it's pretty much 50-50 between the CEO-7 and the 000-28EC. Occasionally based on mood, but more often based on which one I didn't play most recently. Sometimes I'm in the mood for one, or playing something I think is the strength of one or the other, but most of the time I just go back and forth because I like them both sooooo much, that whichever one I'm playing just seems like the right one for that moment. Sometimes I think one sounds better for a particular type of music, but I play everything I can play on both and, frankly, either one of them could be a perfectly good all-rounder. But I really like having and playing both.

although none of my collection are as glorious as some of my fellow agfers. I usually play 3-4 gits a day minimum.
almost always start on one of my nylon classicals
next its my A&L dread
next its my CD60 with retros in DADF#AD
next its a 12 string

occasionally ill haul out my tele (been playing zep/rush and Hip on it lately)

or my 29 archtop

my latest fancy has been imitating a contrabass classical git by using 2 very very heavy gauge bass strings. producing some very cool fingerstyle arrangements with it...sounds like libby cotton meets segovia a lot of fun experimenting

Tuesday's are hectic days in my life, so I'll be lucky to get much time to play at home today.

Luckily, I have a Yamaha Silent Nylon here in my classroom, so I'm going to try and sneak in some practice at lunch today.

Last night the Tele beckoned. The humidity is a little low and I 'haven't started the humidification so I just took a pass on the acoustics. Today we are back up in the 50s and the snow is melting so I expect the humidity to rise. Who knows what I'll play? Perhaps the OM-28?
