Tell me about Martin DC Special Performing Artist

Particularly looking for the Ovangkol back and sides. If you have one/played one can you share your experiences please?

I have played this at guitar center a number of times. I do not care for this entire series of GC special Martin guitars with one exception, the regular D special. THAT guitar is awesome. The DC's have a shallow depth which makes them comfy, but they are super dark and dead sounding to my ear, with very little resonance. If you like that you might enjoy them.

Thanks for the feedback, I will pass on this guitar. The deal was good, but I am afraid I won't like the dark sound.
