I didn't realize Ted was a PRS player. I know he likes his Gibson Byrdlands.

Yes 808K please feel free to post some pics in this thread. As OP I do not practice nore endorse discrimination, and no doubt Joe C, et.al, would rather look at pictures of Fenders

[QUOTE=JoeCharter;5691745]I may apologize eventually but it's still an ugly guitar...

Back in the day, I got blocked from Birds and Moons for saying that the Narrowfield-3 was ugly. They were a bit tetchy about the criticism. But it was frustrating for me, because I love PRS (I owned my only PRS at the time), love korina guitars more than anything, wanted so badly for PRS to make more maple-fingerboard guitars and totally dig the narrowfield pickups.

And then they put out that flat, dull, body with the hideous pickguard. Guys -- it's not that hard. The EG was a good guitar! One of those! With a korina body and maple fingerboard and Narrowfields!

They totally blew it, IMO. The Sliver Sky is better looking, but no korina body or maple fingerboard.

You can't always get what you want (I recall hearing that somewhere).

He played them during his D a m n Yankees days. Really cool paint job too, and If I remember correctly, chambered.

More of a swirl type graphic that was "bookmatched." had them in different colors, and I believe the paint was color-shifting...

Similar to this... can't believe I can't find a pic. May have to check some of my old guitar mags from 1989-1990

I don't think this video has been posted to the thread (now that it's on YT it can be embedded), so here it is. (Note: Once I got over my blinding envy of Mayer's playing skills, I really got a lot out of this. Very much worth the 40 minutes.)

Note: as pointed out in the thread already, it does that mirror image thing that often happens when vids are shot on a smartphone. (Mayer does not play left handed )

Thanks , Yes I thought about posting this video also and I agree is gives some insight into his thought process for the Guitar.. The only reasons I didn't post , was one : it is kind of long, and two: I have to confess I am not a fan of vertical smart phone videos. It's just me of course, but I just don't care for the look.

There actually is a version that is mirrored back to right handed floating about on the internets also (not that it matters )
