Default Hand Brace for Painful Thumb

I would like to know from others who have used a hand brace for relief from pain in the hand and or thumb. What glove did you buy? What did it do for you? Do you recommend it? Please provide me a link to where I can order if you can.

I just worked it out with a hand squeeze exerciser over time and a lot of grimacing. Wasn't a lot of fun but, use it or lose it, the hand survived and the pain didn't.

STOP! Where is the pain - digits, tips, hand, wrist, forearm, what is causing the pain - recent fall, using power tools at work, PLAYING guitar, it always hurts but playing makes it more so, it ONLY hurts when playing, exactly what is hurting - muscle, bone, tendon, ligament???????????
A brace may be the worst thing for you, you’ll need to provide much more history and specifics.

Not unless it's recommended - I go to a hand and wrist surgeon through my insurance if I have difficulties - have xrays on file from several years ago to refer to.

Some hand and thumb problems are caused by inflammation, entrapment others by arthritis , so I go to a professional who sees alot of this and can identify, treat or recommend the correct protocol - I go fairly early.

I try to encourage the general health of the hand with dietary supplements as recommended by forums like these and excercises , but a restrictive jacket on the hand is something I am leery of.

as with the other thread, don't strangle the guitar. instead press lightly on each string of the guitar until it sounds correct.

play music!
