Upgrade to MuseScore 3.6?
I've been using MuseScore 3.4 (transcription and tablature writing software) for some time, and considering upgrading to version 3.6, but I remember reading some users here who prefer the earlier version.
If you're familiar with both, what are the pros and cons of upgrading? Thanks. |

I noticed that they had added their own special font and asked me if I wanted to use it when I opened it again...
I haven’t been using MS3.6 enough recently to see any huge difference but am still very happy with it generally.

I’m running the latest version (3.6.2.5....) and it seems okay to me, although I haven’t used it enough to have a well-informed opinion. One thing I noticed is that the new version no longer includes the capo-position symbol with the bracket. I ended up using text without a bracket (see my upload in the “How do you practice new material” thread in this subforum), but I’ll bet I should have used one of the other bracketed symbols and replaced that text with the capo position.
Isn’t there some kind of forum for MuseScore users? You’ll probably find plenty of reviews there.
