Default 1999 Martin D-18GE 1934 - SOLD

A rare, first year D-18GE in excellent condition: no buckle rash, no pick wear. Small, shallow blemish on the back of neck around the 9th position and a slight blemish near the end wedge. Attractive Brazilian Rosewood headplate. Original Martin Geib style case.

Mods:
-- fully compensated Bob Colosi through saddle
-- Holter 30’s pickguard
-- KK Pure Mini pickup
-- Original #4060 Waverlies replaced with new, high ratio (21/1) Waverly #14060

Built from 1999-2016, the GE is arguably the best production D-18 that Martin ever built. It is certainly the most powerful, balanced and responsive.

Sorry, no trades.

Smile Martin GE

Surprised it doesn't appear to have GE bracing. Beautiful instrument. Best wishes on the sale!

...what? It IS a Golden Era model and the spec sheet clearly indicates such.

Why, why, WHY does the universe serve this up when it knows good and well that my shoulder can’t take a dread any more...aaargh!!!
Beautiful guitar. Good luck with the sale.

Red face Best bracing

Whoops! I missed the GE bracing in the description. I'm sure this guitar has wonderful tone, like the older one I have. Whoever buys this will get some of the best Martin has to offer. Again, best wishes on the sale.

I've said I'm not a dread guy for years but I bought one of these used from a seller here less than two weeks ago. Put new strings on it and they're already done from playing it so much since I got it. Guess I'm a dread guy now. My OMs are jealous. Been feeling a little bored and home bound lately so I made a 950 mile road trip to get it instead of shipping. It was worth it.

I’m the original owner of a 2003 D18GE. It’s a keeper for sure. I had a 67 D18 for a while. The GE blew it away.

Courtesy bump for a great seller. Hard to believe this is still here. GEs punch well above their weight.
