Default SOLD 2012 Martin CS 0000-28H Exc

Had no intention of ever letting this one go until I recently found an HJ-38 SG. Can’t keep them both.

Beautiful and versatile 0000-size Custom Shop with 28-style appointments plus some tasteful cosmetic upgrades. OM-depth with jumbo “M” size body adding depth, volume and extra bass with fine balance across the strings. Adi top gives excellent overhead for flatpicking, but it is also comfortable and beautiful-sounding for fingerstyle play.

Nice dark black ebony fingerboard with 45-style snowflakes inlay, pearl abalone “Martin” headplate, grained mitred ivoroid bound neck and headstock, very nice rosewood back & sides, and even, wide-grained Adirondack top. Modified V neck, scalloped 5/16” bracing (standard position), 1¾” nut and 2¼” at the saddle.

Guitar is in excellent condition, with no history of repairs, and needing none. Neck angle is fine, with low action (5/64 on the bass side) and good saddle showing. No cracks, scratches, or marks of any note, with fine swirls and pickguard marks evidence of play. Bridge is now slotted with Colossi unslotted bone pins/tortoise dot. Binding repair was done on all four waists about 2 years ago and is holding fine. Additional higher resolution images and spec sheet on request. Original case included.

SOLD shipped CONUS fully insured, other fees on the buyer. Guitar is in northern NJ near NYC metro area, happy to do an in-person deal. No trades please.

Having had just acquired a similar guitar by Preston Thompson I have to say that a Martin style 0000 14-fretter may be the ideal do it all instrument. Comfort of an OM, projection of a dread, shimmer of a jumbo. Lovely guitar both in tonewood combo and looks. Good luck. This is a bargain.
