Beautiful 1963 Gibson J-50 - Orignally asking $3800, new lower price $3500 plus shipping

Perhaps the most balanced sounding and easy-playing guitar I’ve had the privilege to come across. The neck is a comfortable 1 11/16” at the nut and the action is spot on, creating a sort of effortless playability that reacts to dynamics very well. The low notes carry well, while the mids are dry and punchy, topped with high end that is not too sheeny, but just sits sweetly on the top. Of course, the video captures the tone better than my words can describe it.

Although a great guitar, it's not my "forever" guitar -- I acquired an Epiphone Frontier around the same time as this guitar and chose to keep the it because of its unique aesthetic. So unfortunately that means the Gibson has to go.

Plastic bridge was recently replaced with a custom rosewood bridge and a drop-in fixed bone saddle (instead of the adjustable saddle). Will include the original adjustable rosewood saddle and hardware (though the plastic bridge was unsalvageable.) The bridge plate was also replaced during that time.

The top appears to have been over sprayed at some point, and there is a finish crack coming out of the bridge angling up towards the upper bout (documented in photos).
