Thanks again for all replies.
Too bad Eastman has E10M and E10OM.
Seems to cause some confusion.

Yeah I thought the E1-OM was E10-M at first. Was surprised when I couldn't find the guitar on google

I need to get the calipers out on mine, but the E1OM neck is substantially heftier near the nut than my AC320. They end up feeling about the same as you go further up the neck, but in first position, the E1 is fatter. Super comfy to me. Next string change I'll try to remember to measure them both.

I'm sorry, I can't get my hands on a caliper now. All I can say is that the nut width is 45 mm (1 3/4 inches) as stated on the specs sheet and the neck fills nicely the fretting hand with a kind of D shape profile. The neck of my Seagull S6, despite being a little wider (48 mm), is thinner and flatter.

Just use a tape measure, would be close enough. Wondering if it's 3/4 or 1?

As it was stated earlier, the E1OM does not use mahogany but sapele back & sides. It is a great model for the sub $500 range, is a fun to play and sounds great. If you are looking for a budget all solid wood OM, the E1 is a good choice.

But for around $400 more you can get Eastman's E6OM that does come mahogany b & s, all gloss finish and a hard shell case. It is one of the great bargains to be had for an OM size guitar. Eastman's version of Martin's 000-18 and for around a thousand less it comes real close in tone as Eastman's have slightly tonally different sound than Martin.

To my ears Sapele has a brighter sound than mahogany. As for the neck shape the E series have a full c shape neck and that the newer guitars are coming with an 1 3/4" width nut.

I recently contacted Eastman about my E1D neck. They told me it is 0.85 at the 1st fret and 0.95 at the 10th, there might be some slight variation because of sanding. Measured mine with calipers, 0.85 at the 1st and just under 0.95 at the 10th.

Default E1OM

How are the frets dressed out, any rough ends or file marks?
