Please Come To Boston
I just sold this guitar - which is kind of sad? It was a good one. I hope the one that replaces it is too!
It's an old Dave Loggins song.

Dave Loggins wrote and recorded Please Come To Boston. It was released in May, 1974. Brings back lots of memories.

Thanks for the correction. Why would I write Dave Collins? Maybe autocorrect. Maybe senior moment lol

Nice rendition! I saw Loggins do it live in Shreveport at Hirsch Coliseum in 1974. It was a good concert. For some reason it really stuck out to me that he played left handed. I think he was the first person I ever saw play lefty.

Nice job, Sal. Congrats on the J45 mahogany sale (I think). Nice to hear a farewell song on it. It really does sound great.
Anticipating your next move. Roger |

Well done. That was a popular song when I was in college in Colorado because of the reference to Denver. Brings back some memories.

Thank you forum friends...
and Roger it has flown... purchased in person by a very nice psychologist and professor. I was glad to meet him. Next? I’m keeping the D15, D18, and J50. And I believe I’m shooting for a 000 rosewood. Martin of course. So I will have gone from 8 to 4, and I think I’m good, ya know? I have nicer guitars than most any man has right to. I hope your slope works out... I was eyeing that one so close!

I love this song, Sal. I first heard it covered by Jackopierce. You did a great job on this one. Sad to see the all hog J45 go, but I’m much more happy to hear the J50 is sticking around! Did you sell your Hummingbird TV?

Thank you Gumbino...
I did sell all my Gibson except the J50. The Bird, and the recent ones... Takamine, J45 -hog, AJ, J45 standard. The Standard I stil lget to play often, as my gigging friend bought it. I’m down to my D15, D18, J50, and a 000-28 I picked up.
