Default St Louis Blues acoustic

Here is my acoustic fingerpicking version of St Louis Blues, played on my Gibson Blues King L-00:

Great job on this! I have always enjoyed this song! That was fun to listen to!

I learned this about 50 years ago when my mother-in-law played this for me on the piano. So I picked the song up by playing along with her on this huge big old upright grand piano we had.

Thanks!

Guitar is a way different proposition for the tune than piano! I simplified it.

My mother had an upright player piano, but she was relearning after playing a little when she was a kid. Use to do a very halting piano version of Your Cheating Heart...a lot...St Louis Blues would have been way beyond her. But that player piano part, well, phew, that was something. Hernando’s Hideaway. Olay! Etc.
