Red face Jld bridge doctor on a classical guitar with a belly bulge

Hi all,

I have an older Horner Contessa classical guitar made in Japan 70's, with a belly bulge, not too bad but the bridge is beginning to lift on one corner and I think it is the cause of some poor intonation up around the 12th fret.

Fast forward...

I'm tempted to try the jldguitar.net JLD bridge doctor, since I wouldn't spend much to have this particular guitar fixed. Oddly, I have not seen anyone who has used this device on a classical guitar. Bad idea?

The guitar's bridge is narrow, so the mounting screw will be at the bottom of the bridge. And there is a 1/8 brace (height) that runs down the middle of the guitar inside. It's probably .5 in. Wide... seemingly common to classical guitars.

The JDL website says to file down their products block to make contact with the back of the bridge plate.

Any suggestions/ feedback welcomed.
