Great little tool!
If you ever adjust a truss rod, or file a nut or saddle, this little tool is a must! I have several gauges, all with sharp edges and dagger points. This, according to the maker is finished by hand with all Edges and corners rounded and polished. It is worth every cent, and its in line with others, pricewise.

It looks great but does it metric measurements or is it just in inches?
My new D'Addario has both.

Pity, it's a great looking gauge with an excellent leather protective pouch.

I have the Stewmac version. Great tool. I’m not sure how one would use it for truss rod adjustments, though? I need deeper gauges for that, and even that measurement can be a little difficult.

I like the conversion chart best. After my years mixing liquids down to the .0001 of a gram. I am reluctant to trust any measurement that is printed on a card or cup. all it takes is for the print to be off a minute detail to throw the whole thing off. I'll stick to my feeler gauges.

Great little tool!
I just had a brain-flash of the late Ricky Nelson singing:
"Great little tool, oh yeah, my Fret Guru, uh-huh..." Sorry folks... I'm feeling better now...

It does have a metric scale, and also the conversions on back.

A good tool is a beautiful thing. My latest is a Frank's Crank, hand made by Frank Ford to do one thing exceedingly well. Two things really, because it's a joy just to look at.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YK61YM6/ Sometimes Amazon (US) doesn't show the metric one, and I couldn't find it on the FretGuru site. |

Thanks for that - I actually emailed Fret Guru and asked if they made a metric version - they didn't even bother to reply which is disappointing.

I just bought a metric version (on Amazon US) for easier use with my classical guitars (easier than doing the conversion, plus I tend to lose stuff). It wasn't available when I bought the other one. GASing tonight, and this is cheaper than the guitars I'm looking at. |
