Classical/Spanish guitar recommendations please.

After spending 3 days trying to figure out the best guitar for my daughter I decided on the Walden T550, BUt in the meantime I caught the bug myself and now want to start playing a classical guitar again.
I say again, but the last time I played anything on one was 50 years ago, no lie.
I started looking on eBay and was totally overwhelm by the number of guitars for sale. So I'm appealing to you guys once again to help me figure out what to buy.
I would like some recommendation based on getting a good quality guitar at a reasonable price say $300 or less. Or maybe a good vintage at a cheap price.
I saw a lot of great looking classics starting at very low prices.
It doesn't have to be new. After all I'm 71 and still in great shape.

When I was looking for a classical, I gave myself a couple of price brackets to play with. Each bracket had about 3 or 4 guitars in it. I ended up buying from the higher priced bracket in the end, but I still have links to the $300 +/- range.

The three that I had in the $300 and under, new, as contenders were:

Yamaha CG142C
Cordoba C5
Manuel Rodriguez Caballero 11


The Francisco Domingo FG-26 was actually in one of my lists as well, but it was in the $400 +/- bracket (I actually had the FG-27 on the list for the rosewood back&sides) These are made by the same company that makes Recording King. I researched them a good amount and found very positive reviews and by all accounts it is a great , all solid, inexpensive alternative. If it is in good shape and you can get it for $300 or under, and it has a return option (just in case.. it is evil-bay after all)... then I'd think it would be a good buy.

Wow, thanks for all that info and taking the time to post it for me.
I listened to both the FG 27 and the Cordoba C5. They both sound so good to me. I'm sure my eay is not good enough to do a proper comparison.
Im sure i cant hear the $100 difference. But I'll go with the FG 27 just because I can.
What really amazes me is how affordable these guitars are.
I had a sax my dad left me and I sold it for $7,500.

Hi all,
Dave Word from Hole in the Wood called me back tonight and said he had a few T 550 s in stock and would set one up tomorrow and send it right out.
So now she will have it for her B day after all.
He's a nice guy and said he would pick the best one set it up for her so she could ply it right out of the box.
Nice guy to work with.

I just realized... Anyone else think this promotion is rather retarded? If you buy a C7 ($499.99) you don't qualify for the $50 cash back. You need to spend 1 penny more ($500) to qualify. LOL that’s how these promos usually work. At least Guitar Center bins them at the $99 increment ($99 or more, $199 or more, etc).

Congrats on the guitar! I myself just recently upgraded my classical (from a C5 actually) and am waiting anxiously for it to arrive.

I know it's only been a day since I ordered the guitar, but I'm going crazy wanting it to be here already.
Been on U tube listening to ever classical / Spanish guitars being played by everyone from a 6 year old on up.
The 6 year old made me feel impotent. But even at 71 I know I can learn to play well if I practice. Do I have that long to live?
