I guess that waiting 18-20 months is going to be difficult.

No doubt Matt. Mine is just a month away and it's already torture but it will be all worth it!

Here you go Doug

It is recorded on my Samsung S7 Edge so the sound quality isn't the best but hopefully it gives you an idea of how it sounds.

I was, truth be told, not expecting much from this given that large bodied guitars tend to sound boomy/bassy/muddy etc. Boy was I wrong! The J-R is about as balanced an instrument I've played - the deep rumbling bass does not overwhelm the chimey trebles and the signature Michaud note separation/clarity is ever so present. Compared to my Lucky Tree, it is louder and more responsive likely due to the body size and top (not to mention a ridiculous amount of sustain). It also has more overtone content while also being more dry sounding (if that makes any sense). The Lucky Tree in comparison has more immediacy and a sweeter tone. This is definitely one of the best guitars I've had the privilege to play and I believe my upcoming OM-R will share very similar qualities to it so I am very excited!

I would say that Joel definitely nailed what he was going for - a small bodied sound scaled up in a big bodied guitar

Wow..impressive sound and lovely playing Marcus.

Definitely more low end available in the toolbox with the J-R versus his smaller instruments while retaining good clarity, balance and note separation.

Aesthetically beautiful too...following on the heels of the arrival of last year's splendid O-R model, Joel has come up with another winner with his new J-R!

Hey guys. Posted these on the "Guitars in stock" thread but thought I would share it here as well since there's already a thread up for it. This guitar is indeed for sale so do check out the thread if you're interested. Enjoy!
