Default Emerald X20 in transit...

I had owned an X20 and after going through a few acoustics, including a Martin, Rainsong, baden, and the X30, I realized that selling my X20 was a mistake. Well my new black X20 was shipped from Emerald on Friday! The X20 is just so comfortable. As soon as I bought a traditional shaped guitar I said wow, these edges feel so sharp. The X20 just says "Yes, take me out of my case. Hold me... Play me..." It's refined...

The last time I ordered one, the tracking results were a bit more detailed and I saw when it got to the states and when it was released from customs etc. This time however, it simply says that it was sent from the international transit hub at Heathrow and that was four days ago now. I hope it's actually moving and not stuck someplace. I hate the waiting game!

Congrats on the incoming X20; it is a special guitar. In the words of the philosopher Joni Mitchell: "You don't know what you got 'till it's gone."

Hope this bit of shipping wait goes fast for you. I found that putting the AN Post number into the USPS tracking worked once the guitar cleared Customs. Of course, it just let me know that the guitar was in my local Post Office about 10 minutes after they closed on a Saturday... with a Monday holiday.

I'm in the same boat as you! If you goto the link Emerald sent you and put in the tracking number they gave you than you can see an additional tracking number show up at the top of the page beginning with "EF". Copy and paste that number in usps or canada post website to get finer details. Though I warn you, the closer it gets to you the pain seems to grow exponentially. I can tell I'll have mine in my hands in 1-3 days, which will probably be Monday. I'm thankful I'll be working this weekend.

Congrats Studioman ! You already know what you're getting, so that's a good thing. Let us know how it works out this time? No color for you huh?

Yeah, I considered the Cinderella perspective, but then thought this crowd may be more folky than hair band.

To the person that suggested using the tracking number starting with EF on the USPS web site, thanks, I already knew about that from my last Emerald purchase. Right now it only says that the oragin facility is preparing my shipment. Since there is nothing else, I'm assuming that means it cleared customs...but I'm not sure on that. The last time I purchased an Emerald, I was actually able to track it when it got to customs, while it was being processed/held up, and when it was released. For some reason, none of that info is coming up this time around.

That was originally Captain Jim's statement- I couldn't get the quote to work in Tapatalk. I went back and corrected it.

My order a month ago was the same Studioman, showed it in customs, then not another update until it arrived at my door 4 days later.

Painful wait isn't it. I'm surprised that you don't see any change. I can see with my tracking that it's at my post office (Canada post). They'll most likely attempt to deliver it tomorrow while I'm at work which means I won't get until late Tuesday when I get home
