Default What's the average string height at the bridge on vintage archtop?

I'm restoring an old Harmony from the late 30s early 40s. Resetting the neck and I'd like to know what a good or normal bridge/saddle height?

I don't have the original bridge, the bridge I'm using is a new standard adjustable rosewood archtop bridge. It is about 1" tall which I think is a normal height.

The 1" looks very tall for this guitar neck angle. I could make it work, but will have to remove quite a bit from the heal. Did some of these old archtop a have lower bridges? Thanks

A lot of old Harmonys/Kays were not made with the same neck angle as more expensive archtops. Therefore--lower profile bridges.

I can measure on my Kay for you later.

Bridge is about 13/16ths at highest point, action about 3mm at 12th fret.
