Default Jonathan Resaonator

Anyone own or played one of these Jonathan 1711 Resonators ? https://tinyurl.com/yxdmbeyk They seem like a exact copy of the highway 61 that republic offers but with pickups. With the less than perfect guitars republic is churning out these days this seems like a decent option?

As far as I can tell, Republic, Aersi, Jonathan, and others are all buying the same guitars from the same source and branding them with their own names. I'd wager that none are better or worse than the others. I've been disappointed twice by Republic, and I'm done with bargain resos.

If you can't afford a National, I think Gretsch, Beard Gold Tone, and Michael Messer are your best compromise. I once owned a Hohner HRM400 that was pretty nice, but I'm not sure what their availability is these days.
