On June 1st in Lafayette CA I have a gallery show, and my subject for the past two years was the work of Michihiro Matsuda. We haven’t shown many of these to anyone, but this thread seems a fun place to do that. These few won’t be a part of the show, but I hope you dig them!

I’m no professional photographer — or even a “prosumer” — nor do I have anything that resembles a studio setup for lush guitar photos, but I do enjoy getting out the DSLR and a prime lens for a new guitar.

Here’s one of my newest guitar:

Our group was invited to participate in a "Day of the Dead" wedding photo session. That was pretty cool.

Not sure if I'd call these "artistic" shots - I was just trying to catch the bear claw on the Italian Spruce top of my Huss & Dalton Custom TOM-M. H&D also responded to my request for a "headstock with interesting grain variation" by using a beautiful Macassar Ebony overlay.

Gladly, it a Sully’s strap.

https://sullysstraps.com

Great strap and a really nice person to work with. They are made to order and his advice to add one more hole at the bottom end was golden. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted and ended up using the “extra” one he suggested...thanks Sully!
