Default Don Sharp Bearclaw Sitka Over Brazilian Rosewood D-35 Project Guitar

So, I was cleaning the shop a few days ago and came across an older plastic CF Martin hard shell case. To my surprise, I found this inside.....

I also found the matching bridge:

SO.... What's the story with this guitar:

This guitar was a commission several years ago when I was making martin style guitars. The customer backed out at the last minute and I was left holding on to the guitar. I was in the process of moving at the time. So, this guitar got lost in the shuffle and I haven't laid eyes on it since.

This guitar features:

- Old Growth, straight grained brazilian rosewood back and sides D-35 Style.
- The top is highly figured bearclaw sitka with the Clarence White enlarged soundhole and Style 40 abalone inlay.
- The fingerboard is Ebony with abalone hexagon inlays. 25.4" Scale length bound in ivroid and W/B
- Binding is ivroid with b/w purfling.
- The bridge is Ebony with abalone hexagon inlays.
- The neck is honduran mahogany with carved diamond volute.
- The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer. (Gloss Body, Satin Neck).
- Bone Nut
- Ebony peghead overlay with abalone inlay and bound in ivroid W/B

One Corner of the fingerboard binding has shrank and is separated a bit.

Just fix the fingerboard binding install the bridge, cut the nut for strings, install a saddle, level and dress frets, install tuners and strings. Voila!! You've got a really sweet guitar

Comes with the CF Matrin Thermoplastic case it has been housed in for years.

Price: $1500.00
