Default Ngd - Vintage Parlor

I just picked up a 1943 Harmony 12-fret 0 Size from Steve over at vintageparlorguitars.com. Steve was great about working with me to find one over the past few weeks that suit my fingerstyle country blues preference. After allowing the guitar, and it's 68-yr old wood, to acclimate to my house a few hours it absolutely sounds outstanding and I couldn't be happier. The tone is incredibly resonant for such a small guitar and frankly his setup make this guitar the easiest to play in my small collection. If you're like me and would rather have a vintage instrument with all the mojo and old-wood tone that just doesn't come straight out of factory but also at a modest price, I highly recommend chatting with Steve.

I have not taken my own pics yet so here's the ones Steve provided:

Very nice. I looked at that alot on his website.

Yeah, Steve has been very helpful in answering many questions Ive had about old parlors as these little guys have become quite fun for me.

If I wasnt buying my own just to tinker with them Id buy one from him in a heartbeat.

Great guy.

Congrats - that's a great looking guitar. The saddle is quite white - is it new?

Yes, Steve installed a new bone saddle and nut.

If anyone is curious what this sounds like, here's a quick clip. I'm a beginner as far as recording is concerned and I think I may have been way too close to the mic.

BTW, 000, you've got a beautiful back yard. I hope you're spending some of these summer evenings on the deck playing your GE, and now the Parlor.

I wish that was my backyard! That's Steve's backyard in Vermont...I posted his photos of the guitar since I had not taken any of my own yet.

Nice guitar, congratulations. If I lived in the US, I think I'd get in touch with the vintageparlors guy... the recent thread on the restored Kalamazoo was a pleasure to read.
Was that Joe Turner by Mississippi John Hurt on soundcloud, or am I hearing things? Good playing anyway, cool.
