I'm reading An Orchestra of Minorities. Honestly, I'm not sure when or why I bought it, but I am enjoying it.

It is twisted, like all of his stuff!

I got hooked on him a long time ago, and find his writing to be very entertaining, his plots just on the far side of realistic, and characters compelling. Not sure I could have ever waded through everything Dickens wrote a few years ago if I hadn't read Irving first. Now if I could only remember it....!

Always loved A PRAYER FOR OWEN MEANY!

Default Both Sides of Paradise: a Memoir

This book was written by a friend of mine who served as an MP in Vietnam, and later as a policeman in Aspen, skiing and partying and dealing with people from all walks of life who were drawn to Aspen in the 1970's. Teaser: there is John Denver-related content. In short, he experiences both sides of paradise and finds redemption. I've sat by a campfire in Colorado listening to Bob tell some of these stories and that is exactly how the book reads.

This one is light, breezy and enjoyable. I think I’ve read most everything he’s written over the years and tired of him a bit. But it’s been a while since I’ve read a book by Follett and I’m enjoying this book.

This is number 28 in the Commissatio Brunetti series. I’ve read them & still enjoy them.

I'm back in The Wartime Journals of Charles Lindbergh and it is now Dec 7, 1941. Despite his being a pompous, self-important, elitist, racist, borderline Nazi-sympathizer (he was a personal friend of many in the Nazi government), he provides some context that you can only get from a primary source who was as frenetically peripatetic as he was.

I've started in volume one of Churchill's The Second World War series, The Gathering Storm. My lovely wife gave me an early edition of the set with intact dust jackets for Valentines.
